STUDENT ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY

In order to be eligible to participate in any athletics or extracurricular activities, as student must be passing courses totaling at least 30 credits (six 5-credit courses or the equivalent) at the end of the previous school year for a Fall season, or at the end of the marking period for upcoming seasons.

All ninth grade students are academically eligible for fall sports and extracurricular activities during the first marking period.

Students failing English, Math, Social Studies, and/or Science must attend the Study Skills program.

For fall sports, student must be passing with 30 credits at the end of the previous school year. To be eligible for a Winter sport, student must be passing at least 30 credits at the conclusion of the first marking period, and to participate in a Spring sport, eligibility will be determined by the grade average including the first and second marking period, as well as the midterm exam grade.

In order to participate on any athletic team, a student must be academically eligible at the start of each season.

Lunchtime Study Skill Program is available to all students for extra help with their schoolwork. If a student is failing a subject, he or she must attend this program in that subject area during period 6 for a minimum of two times a week, in order to continue participation in any activity. If a student does not attend the Study Skills Program, he or she will be declared ineligible and denied participation in all athletic and extracurricular activities.
